Right, as both of us are feeling very mellow and 'enabling', here is another fic meme type thing. Comment here with your preferred fandom and
fiandyfic will look into their crystal ball and give you three elements randomly picked from the Periodical Table of Story Elements.
You then comment back with a fic in your preferred fandom and incorporating all three elements.
Crack is encouraged, but not necessary. Length is not important as it is, after all, what you do with it that counts. Give us a sentence, give us a full novel. Knock yourself out (or don't. Please. It hurts and it makes us cry...)
We'd prefer fandoms that we know in order that *we* get maximum pleasure out of this, but we appreciate that some folk may want to write in new fandoms.
(PS: We can't quite get the random number generator to work... )
ETA: Well, a couple of you have raised the issue of deadlines so we've had a discussion* and decided on "open-ended, but let us know when you're done". Hope that's good news.
Oh, and just so you know, the random number generator apparently works much better after several pints of Sam Smith's Autumn Reserve cider - so expect your challenges when we can see straight again.
ETFA: So you don't have to scroll in the comments, under the cut is the list of completed fic.
1.
kirsteena wrote Demonstrations and Remonstrations in Life on Mars. The three prompts were Giant Props, Gargoyles, and Genetic Abnormalities.
2.
emeriin wrote Painting It Black in Withnail and I. The three prompts were octopi, lab accident and henchmen.
3.
bistokids wrote Mr. Benn in Life on Mars. The three prompts were dinosaurs, pirates and retcon.
4.
dracothelizard wrote Two's Company, Three's a Crowd in Top Gear. The three prompts were 'female counterpart', 'mad genius', and 'ninjas'. Note: this is a link to a friends-locked community.
